| How many ways can you
describe the wind this fishing season? A walleye chop is one
thing, but lately the wind has been ridiculous! Walleyes
continue to be the fish of choice this week. Gull lake seems
better on cloudy days, with fish hitting rigs and minnows or
jigs and fatheads in 12 to 18 feet.
Mille Lacs is one of the better choices for very nice fish
and a few in the slot. Crawlers or leeches on Lindy rigs have
worked well for us there.
My bass fishing is heating up and for now they are in the
shallows and on the flats. I sampled both Gull Lake and
Pelican this week and we caught some very nice large mouth
bass.
