Fishing remains excellent on
many area lakes including Gull and Mille Lacs.
Not only
have we been catching good numbers of bass, but also taking
photos of plenty of big bass caught by clients.
If youj
are thinking of dipping your toes in the water at Secret Lake
#4, you many want to reconsider as the bass there have been
hitting fast and furious.
On some lakes we are also
cathcing a fair number of northern pike, too.Your

Great weather equals great
fishing as bass and sunfish and the ever present rock bass
continue the great bite on Gull Lake.
On Monday this week Nancy caught and released a Northern
Pike estimated at 12lbs on Secret Lake #11.
Small Mouth
bass continue the strong bite on Mille Lacs.
In the
last few days we've had cathces of 50, 40, 38, 60, 49 and 64
bass all caught and released with lots of happy fishermen and
lots of pictures taken.

This week fishing
has been pehnomenal.
On Wednesday a young lad 8 years
old caught 45 on Gull Lake. Next we caought lots of small
mouth bass on Mille Lacs. My client boated three photo worthy
smallies on this trip.
On Friday a family from Texas
had a blast on Secret Lake # 3, landing 54 bass. Today we
landed an even 50 mixed bass on Long Lake.
All fish
this week were released. We caught all the fish on a jig and
worm. The worm was a Berkley Power Worm or a Northland
Slurpie.
Regaurding the state shutdown and no fishing
licenses for sale, call me at 218-829-6672 to explain your
options to fish.Royal Karels |

My first fishing report of
the year.
You cannot overstate it -
the bass are going wild. Last
week on three of the famous secret lakes on all day trips, w
caught 72, 125, and 142 bass with lots of small mouth mixed
with largemouth bass and several trophies. All the fish were
caught and released.
I recently purchased 1,850 plastic
worms in a variety of colors hoping to confuse the bass if not
the fishermen.
The sunfish are starting to bite well
also. Walleye on Mille Lacs
still a very strong bite. Gull Lake still has a decent walleye
and northern bite as well.Royal Karels |
